Long time AMD fan here, and while i am VERY happy to see this and have been following the Ryzen for a while, I am sure that Intel has 4-5 next gen designs in a safe somewhere just waiting to implement. They have had ZERO reason to innovate as there was no real competition. Intel needs AMD so they will probably let them have their moment in the spotlight for a few months, then will release the next big thing witch will crush the Ryzen. Intel spends more on R&D than AMD is valued at as a whole on a yearly basis. bottom line is AMD really just cant afford to go toe to toe with Intel. Ryzen is going to keep AMD viable and current for a while...maybe a year tops, then it will be as it has been for the last few years, forever playing catch-up.
BTW all my system builds are AMD only, always got to root for the underdog.

Intel spends 2.7 BILLION a QUARTER, AMD spends about 240 MILLION a quarter.

my next PC build will be the 1800X. need a good 4K video editing rig and the price performance ratio is fantastic with Ryzen.
