I think so, but budget can be pretty subjective. If you can afford it in the first place and compared with the cost of the Xbox (especially if you're using the Series X), I think it's priced reasonably. It's a fantastic controller and I would be lost without the paddles on the back.

On the other hand, if you are on the new Series S or X, I wonder if MS will provide a new Series 3 that includes the new Share button and possibly other updates for the new systems. The Elite 2 was designed for the Xbox One series, so it's already a bit dated. Personally, I don't care about the Share button, so it's perfect for me on my Series X.

If it's brand new, I'd say yes. They are normally $180 through Microsoft and most stores in the U.S..

I've purchased 4 or 5 Elite 2. I am very rough with it and drop them a lot. I do have warranty on 2 of them, but have purchased new ones since the beginning of the pandemic.
