I wonder why all the tablets I have seen so far have the old Windows logo.

I would have thought they'd use this as an opportunity to start getting the new logo out there.
With a new OS and new hardware, I would think they have to keep something familiar for consumers. Remember, those of us here on these boards are not a representative sample of the buying public. There's some real ignorant people out there who spend big money on gadgets for the "cool" factor and most of them don't know the difference between an xap file and a mole on their butt (that's for you Dave Blake, lol).

The new one is awful. Simply doesn't work on a flat, physical button.
It's not up to MS to tell OEM's how to design the buttons or if even to have physical buttons. If an OEM uses an indented button then the fanboys say they're copying the iPad. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

It's not a 'flag' it's a 'window'. It looks very similar to the original Win 1.0 insignia, see attached for entire progression.
