What a mess. Glad I did cancel. $500 is alot of money to invest for poor service.
think the discount you can get depends on the agent you talk to. Looks like some agents have more discount to give out than others. I got an email yesterday saying my order was cancelled and a new order will be generated and I will get the new order number soon, but nothing yet. I asked an online rep, and I was told my case was assigned to an agent and I will be contacted in the next 24 hours and this new agent will be my point of contact going forward regarding this order. I hope this is really what's gonna happen and the this new agent will be helpful in sorting this out.
Well I just canceled mine after a LONG chat...They offered me 5%, but then i said I wanted 10% off and the $50 in accessories for all the aggravation and inconvenience. They countered with 7% i was like fine ok, do it. Then they explained all the hoops i had to go through after my order was shipped and that sent me over the deep end. I told them to forget it, cancel it and they just lost a customer for life. I will never buy from them again. Even if they offered the Thinkpad 8 for $100...It is not worth it if you receive it 6 months from the purchase date.
This was an impulse purchase that i was happy with...until the horrible service happened...now i have $500 that i don't have to worry about magically coming out of my account without warning.
Good luck with getting contacted...I have tried with calls, & emails and never gotten a response. Remember when I was told i would get a call that day to fix this? Here we are 3 days later and NOTHING. I got someone on chat and thats it.
