Thinking of integrating a Windows tablet in car dash. Why? It's cheaper than navigator (need tablet with gps), full Windows OS, so it has good OBD diagnostic softwares, music apps etc.

But I have some questions about it:
Is it possible to wake up screen when turning car ignition on (tablet is charging)?
Possibility to turn screen off or hibernate when car ignition is off (10-15 seconds delay) and if tablet hibernates, is it possible to turn on with power, when it starts charging again, so there wouldn't be need to touch the tablet at all?

I don't know how to connect the car and tablet, but the tablet will turn off itself, when not in use (after some time in standby) and it will begin charging when the car is turned on.
I recommend a small tablet with a bright screen [ and GPS ].
hope I could help you.

When asleep most tablets will wake themselves up when plugged in.

You can set power settings depending on whether its plugged in or not. (like timeout before sleeping: plugged in? Never, on battery? 3 minutes)

I don't think you can make the delay less than a minute though.
