Possible to connect W10 tablet to W7 laptop via USB?

I know they are both two full systems and things will be little bit complicated. But what make it even more complicated is that my tablet is completely dead, its screen is gone. So OneDrive isnt an option to transfer files

ps. I need files from desktop that were not backed up to/on OneDrive

that isn't possible since both have windows OS and therefore the tablet can't act as a slave. option would be to get the tablet repaired
