So I had a really old dell I decided to uograde the CPU in. Unfortunately the CPU seemed to push the old PSU over the edge and the thing died. Being propetiery I thought - time for a nother.
So I brought a second hand custom mini-atx. Which had a cpu that was wildly overheating. So I go in, wipe the extremely excessing thermal paste off and re-apply, fan seems to calm down, but now the onboard graphics is not working.
PCIe graphics card doesn't seem to show either, even if I pin reset the MB.
Sigh.
Unless the cable isn't working, or my reset failed, I'm looking at a new MB of some kind. Guess that's what yoy can get but its been days of frustration, all whilst battling a cold.
