    Um, OP is asking for signing out, not Hibernate or etc.

    Assuming you're talking about Windows 10 because you didn't mention.

    On Start, click ( ) USERNAME in the top left of the menu. Select "Sign Out"

    Yes, you can.
    Open your start menu. On the bottom right you'll see the 'Shut Down' button that also has a drop down menu arrow. Click the arrow and make your selection. :)
