I just tried a random "wifi disk" app and verified that it IP over USB in fact is working on WP8. Then I tried every remote mouse/touchpad app I could find and none of them worked over USB. From Unified Remote's error log, and from my failed attempt to ping the phone, it seems like the phone might be firewalling all inbound connections.
Still, in theory you shouldn't need inbound connectivity for transmitting touch. Does anyone know of a remote touchpad app that works over USB? Or know of a reason it would not work for sure?
