Don't remember price

Lumia 625:
4.7" LCD display (not as good as the 820)
gorilla glass 2 equipped

Lumia 820:
4.3" AMOLED
some non-gorilla glass brand glass IIRC
Removable battery (yet smaller)
more under-the-hood horsepower (more RAM, faster chips)
option to use Qi?
I'm pretty sure it has NFC

there's more im sure

Yes, 820 has qi wireless charging shell, purchased separately.

Also, microSD support, up to 64GB, but only 8GB of internal, which is kind of hard to live on.

I'd take lumia 820 if I were you. Much better display and better performance the 625. 625 is kinda pixelated due to 480x800 on a 4.7in display . But it will last longer than 820 on a single charge. 820 is already oos on most sites as production has been stopped I'm led to believe

I own an 820 and love it, but I'm selling it because despite the bad press, the 625 is a great phone. Yes, the screen is inferior, but you can tweak in the settings to 'bring it to life'. Battery life is absolutely superb. The lack of Glance was a concern.....at first. I don't miss it at all. Sound quality 'slightly' inferior but not enough to lose sleep over. I'm not too worried about losing wireless charging either. USB charging is much faster, and as battery life is SO good on the 625, I'll be charging less anyway :)

All I ever read on the 625 was 'terrible screen and bad viewing angles'. Total rubbish. Admittedly, it's no 820 screen, but it's better (to me) than the 620 screen.
If you are one who wants the best model with bells and whistles, you'll overlook the 820 anyway, but if you want a solid fast Lumia, the 625 is well worth a look. All the apps I used regularly on the 820 run perfectly on the 625, so the 512mb RAM vs 1Gig Ram doesn't affect me one bit. In a week of side by side comparison, I have yet to notice ANY difference in performance between the two phones. I don't even miss the lights on the three function keys. Granted, I can understand why some would....

The 625 and the 820 are both excellent phones, and I would imagine you will be equally happy with either :) Same experience on either phone with amazing battery life in favour of the 625

Lumia 625 lacks clearblack display (information from few of the reviews) so its on par with Lumia 520 display. So if you don't mind a poorer screen (with 201 ppi! ) then 625 is a decent choice. If you need amazing battery life with Cb display then Id suggest Lumia 720 :)

820 any day. it has a better screen in terms of visual experience and is much more future proof thanks to its hardware. oh and also has a better camera. not to mention you get here drive+ with it.

Depends a bit on what size you prefer, but the 820 is actually a really good all round phone as long as you don't mind the lower resolution of the display. For some people it might be a better phone than the 920 series. It also got a replacable wireless charging shell which is far superior to a case in my opinion, as you can just change the shell and it does not add any bulk.

I agree with srussell68 above - the 625 is lower specced but does not suffer for it. The battery life is especially of note.

It really comes down to price - in the uk i picked up the 625 for ?149 and some change - brand new and network unlocked. Not too shabby. Unlocked, the 820 is more so... Both are great choices!
