Okay, I JUST got my Windows 8 phone (HTC 8X AT&T). I have been an avid Android user for years but I love the way this phone looks and feels. I am getting used to the way it works and I like that too; so far. So what's the problem? The Apps. In particular, I used to have an severe weather app that would let me set what weather alerts I wanted to get notifications for and it would sound an AUDIBLE ALERT, even if my phone was sleeping, that would wake me up and would continue to go off until I acknowledged it. THIS is something I HAVE to have.I downloaded AccuWeather, but this isn't the same thing as StormShield or ProWeatherAlerts for Android. Is there ANYTHING like this for the Windows phones? My other issue is with the calendars, but one issue at a time. THANK YOU!!!!!! I'm the only person I know smart enough to break away from the iPhone circus, so I don't have any one to guide me through this transition.
