HERE DRIVE+ Navigation with display off

Hi !

As far as i know its not possible to navigate with the display off (phone locked) while HERE DRIVE+ runs in the background.
With my old Symbian phone this was possible, so you only had voice navigation and the battary was not empty that fast.
With WP8 you loose your GPS connection and need to have the display active for navigation.

Now i tried it with a charging cable inside my car and it looks that while charging you can lock the phone and still get voice commands !
Can anyone confirm this ?

If the background tasks for HERE Drive is running then it will work when the screen is locked, after you start obviously. I can confirm this cause I used it just on Sunday.

Using Nokia Lumia 920 with all updates. Before the update to 8.1 (WP8) Here Drive was properly working in the background with the display off. I Always used it in combination with a bluetooth headset because of handsfree usage of the Phone. After the update to 8.1 GPS is not working in the background with the display off. This is a setback when using Here Drive+.
I did not test this with a car charger connected but i will. It would be nice if the Battery Saver had an option to enable the GPS in the background.
I experience the same issue using Copilot GPS.

Make sure the battery saver option in here driver is turned on.

Not totally on the topic but ....
I have the CR201 this is a phone holder for in the car combined with QI charger. I always put my phone in the holder/loader so if I use HERE my battery will not drain.
