I have it downloaded, when I start it up I tap "Sign Up"...add info, check the accept the user policy, tap next it starts to connect, then nothing....

Did Snap chat block WP users?

Check their support site would be the best bet.

Well at long last I got signed up, (had to use Snaptastic from store). Now I can't get my phone number to link to my account.....keeps telling my invalid phone number.

I searched for an answer but no joy......I have tried every thing I know......I may have to use snaptastic again.

Yes just what I thought.....flipped over to snaptastic and there was a get code option that was not in 6snap.

So I am now signed up and number verified.

I had the same issue. My old Galaxy Nexus was across the room so I fired it up, created my account, then simply logged in on 6Snap.
