Here is a concept I made for the Music Control Dropdown that matches windows 8.1 desktop music controls and adds a music scrubber. What do you guys think?

Nice. But it doesn't move far from the current drop down. And not to complaint, but the scrubber is impractical and ridiculously small, IMO

That scrubber is completely impractical. I would rather just see the timecode and hold the skip buttons down to rewind and fast-forward.

Yes I do realize the scrubber I'd really small and know that would need to be adjusted

I like this design! It would be nice if Microsoft were to adapt something like this.

it looks cool, but I would rather see the app opening instantly instead of using that little impractical menu to avoid seeing a "loading" screen, not to mention it goes away if you don't use it constantly so you are getting stressed while deciding what song to listen to

love the design of it. Yes i have to agree with others that the scrubber would be too small. maybe the current track duration would be better to put there.

Way better than the first one. But is it possible to put together these into a real thing.

Don't you guys think the music drop down menu stays on the screen for a very few seconds

I think it should stay down a little bit longer with the option to swipe it up if you're done with it.

I like the concept, but I really feel that the Album Art display detracts from it.

The question being posed pertains to this being technically possible, given the constraints of Windows Phone.

I'm not sure if it's possible at this time, but I know Microsoft could easily add it in an update if they wanted to

Simply just make the scrubber go across the whole bottom and keep the nice album picture to the rich. Gray idea btw

Go down a few posts from the first one and you will see I did exactly that with a reworked concept.

I really like it! It would really be great if it stays onscreen and you can swipe the album art to change song.

Nice concept, but Microsoft has to get working on interactive tiles, that would greatly sweeten the deal of live tiles usefulness, rather that a drop down for music.

just press the back button and the music drop down menu will disappear.

i would rather have persistent play/ pause back and forward icons on the lock screen and have the album art as the lock wallpaper that fades into the regular set lock-screen wallpaper coming down hear the time and notifications area.
