As a former owner/fan of both the Danger Hiptop (AKA "Sidekick) and Hiptop 2, as well as the Dell Venue Pro more recently, I enjoy a physical keyboard when done well.

Microsoft purchased Danger, and never did much with the purchase directly, but does own its trademarks and patents. I'd love to see Microsoft do something interesting with the Hiptop/Sidekick brand. It's a strong brand, especially amongst old-school T-Mobile customers in the U.S. and Fido users in Canada, and would resonate with a core group of tech enthusiasts. At one point the Sidekick was popular with celebrities in the U.S., too.

Doing something "interesting" with the brand could mean a handset with a physical keyboard, or even a "Sidekick" keyboard accessory that plugs into existing or future devices. They could do something even more out of the box, such as a small slide-out touchscreen that could act as a touch keyboard without obscuring information on the screen, or a innovative control option for games, etc.
