As long as you had saved your game to the cloud BEFORE it happened, then when you reinstall the game you can download your save progress :).
Although do it on your own risk, for me my method is working. :)
By the way, I submitted a ticket to Fire Monkeys regarding this matter, and this was their response.

I would like to request you to make sure to save your progress to the cloud and to the device (the regular save) before closing or leaving the game.
