Hoping MS will still do the Lumia 850 this year?

I don't want the 850 to be a mid-ranger. I want it to be a 950 with slightly lower specs.
Same processor , 2 GB ram, 5 inch 1080p display, 10 or 13 megapixel pureview camera. etc

Thats what i want too.. The new w10 mid rangers should have specs of 930 and 1520 as the new flagships will make them old..

Will MS use AMDs rebranding strategy? MS L850 with appropriate tagline: Tailored especially for Win 10 only, next year they could come up with 870s(same internal specs) with tagline: Tailored to suit Win 10.1 etc.

850 will too have on screen keys.. MS is just screwing phones..

Well you know, on-screen keys are very common across all price points in Android. The LG G3 is quite the phone to be reckoned with yet has on-screen keys. Nexus 5? Yup. Moto X? Where's the buttons?

But why drop the touch capacitive buttons.. On screens are not that good compared to touch capacitve.. If Lg has it, moto has it why should MS follow the same path..

Because MS does it the best. Unlike other platforms, you can hide these at your will by swiping up from the bottom (with the newer windows phones. Lumia 630 and 530 have it there permanently because of their resolution.)

Well, I don't think they're inherently bad, just different. Presents a cleaner device face, won't blind me at night, some people say they're harder to accidentally press...

What about the processor in Lumia 840, the real powerhouse of Smartphones ???
Sure, Snapdragon 4** processors shouldn't be used in High mid range device( Lumia 840), Snapdragon 610 hasn't been used in any device till now so I think Microsoft won't use it in Lumia 840, Snapdragon 615 is sluggish Cortex A53 Octa core processor that heats too much and is not battery efficient for a mid range device, it would be nice to see Lumia 840 with powerful octa core Snapdragon 620 (Quad Cortex A72+ Quad Cortex A53) processor which is on par for performance with Snapdragon 800 series old processors. There are also rumours on the internet that LG Nexus 5 would come with Snapdragon 620 processor in late 2015.
What do you other Lumia users think about this?

There was a device which was in the news earlier and was in india for testing.. That device had 610 or 6**.. I hope its true..

I think it's fairly safe to assume that the 640/640XL are the low tier for this current range of handsets. We have the mid range announced later in the year and high tier appearing early next year.

Myself, I would like something priced similarly as 830.
But, for sure Lumia 830 will be priced about 350$ or even more for sure as it would be a high mid range windows device, but I would only wish the device to have upcoming mid range Snapdragon 620 SOC if it is going to be released in November/December 2015 when according to rumours LG is also launching New Nexus 5 2015 with Snapdragon 620 SOC.

MS really needs a competitor to phones like the Moto G, Alcatel One Touch, etc. Cheap, about $250 with a 1080p screen and good specs. Hopefully the 850 can be it.
