Black Square behind some of my Folder Icons

Hi, I just had this problem earlier. I had this Folder that has a Black Square behind it. I tried refreshing and it didn't work. I tried moving my files from that folder into another it worked. Deleting it and After refreshing, 4 folders have been affected by this problem. Anyyone knows what the problem is and how can I fix it?

Here is a screenshot of what It looks like. imgur.com/Tj3R73K

I'm on Windows 10 by the way.

Also, I have done the following things I've seen that cured problems slightly like mine:

1. Create a New User Profile. This worked for a few hours and It happened again with some folders.
2. I also tried resetting my Windows installation. Keeping files in my pc and just the programs and windows installation are new.

This is really crazy You don't need to reset your os or create a new profile.

Method 1, Clean the Thumbnails (Best one):

  • 1. Go to start and search for 'Disk Cleanup'.
  • 2. Open it and select the system drive (usually 'C') and click on 'OK'.
  • 3. It will load. Then choose 'Thumbnails' and proceed. Done. :)
Method 2:
  • 1. Right click on to the folder (which is having the black square behind it).
  • 2. Go to 'Properties'.
  • 3. Select 'Customize' tab.
  • 4. Select 'Restore default'.
  • 5. Now 'Apply' and 'OK'. Done :)
