You can change it! Search on youtube. I had white 930, bought orange back cover and changed it in few minutes.
Now I have white 735, but I will buy green back cover.

yeah, i watched one of those. It's cool to see that it's doable, but since i don't think i have hands skilled enough for it i'm not willing to risk it xD

Lumia 640 with matte Black, matte Blue, glossy blue, glossy orange. Also a 735 with matte green, blue and grey and glossy orange and a non-original but very nice matte yellow. I change them as often as my underwear!
