Would you honestly buy another Microsoft Mobile?

My Lumia 1020 is almost 2 years old, and the L950 seems to be an excelent replacement for it. 20Mpix is sufficient and 808 has enough kick. iOS and Android systems really does not hold my piece: I want a phone where I can easily develop Apps (I have 5 already), be truly safe and browse with ease. There are none threats and LiveTiles are the most intellect approach ever. WP is just for me.. Why does not other people understand this, while they are installing commercial VirusScanners to their "Awesome phone" which is the most idiotic idea for battery based mobile device.

Can wait for the Iris scanner.. But everything comes with some conserns althouh: VPN client in the phone will probably suck *** still. IKEv2 is non usable, L2TP is still broken and OpenVPN will just not be there...

Absolutely. I have had Apple phones (original, 2, 3, and 4s). Every iteration came with new limitations that eventually disgruntled me enough to switch. My sons have always had Android phones. I felt like I had a second job as an Android Repair Specialist for the last 6 years or so. Just the problems with malware alone has been enough for me to never consider them. I chose to invest in a Lumia 920 and have never looked back. My only complaint is that the new phones aren't here yet. I love my 920. I really do. But, it is starting to show it's age a bit and I can't wait to get some quality time with a new device.

No not yet. I don't like the design of the new phones. I'd rather keep my 920 and 1020 and wait for the surface phone (or Nokia Android)...

I'll be holding on WP until windows 10 mobile is out and will see how the developers will get most required apps to WP. And also how project Astoria is successful by getting android apps to WP. If I get all the official apps that I need on WP then will stick to it. I really love windows phones but lack of official apps are frustrating with no support for updates for an existing apps.

I'm wondering what is your wife doing on snapchat...

Sending pictures of her tits to total strangers. What else?

However, for all I know she could also be using it to communicate with her friends, sending pics of the everyday stuff we/they do, chatting or whatever. Clearly I have no way of verifying this, but she could actually be using snapchat for very ordinary stuff.

Humors that NOKIA is coming back with an Android not Windows

?We will look for suitable partners,? Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri told Manager Magazin in Germany. ?Microsoft makes mobile phones. We would simply design them and then make the brand name available to license.? That means other companies can come in, use the Nokia name and design, and then sell their own devices. As Reuters notes, Foxconn did something similar with the Android-powered Nokia N1 tablet.

So will we see a Nokia phone again? It sure sounds like it, but keep in mind that Microsoft already acquired the division that used to build the rock solid Nokia phones that we all fondly remember.

If it was for the OS and Phone i wouldn?t doubt to buy my Lumia930 again. I love it in use and yes there are some missing apps, but it?s not that they are a problem for my productivity. The thing i?m missing and finding anoying is the lack of support/interrest of developers.
For example, i?ve bought a new VW Passat and i can?t use bluethooth connection for calling where the connection keeps failing. I?ve tested this with an iPhone and Android phone and works perfectly.... in addition with WP there is only address book and calling, with iOS and Android you can use messages as well, with android even use Mirror Link... this gives me the feeling that the gap between WP and iOS/Android is still gigantic and won?t be getting any smaller soon...

I have had the Lumia 1520 since last year. I still have my HTC OneX. However, WP came in like a fresh perception. 1520 is a beast that chugs on with WP 8.1. Yes Google is all about colours and glitters, but there isn't a game that I miss in WP or an App. The App ecosystem is still growing and would take time. I would go back to Android once I can identify a power house like 1520.

It gets tough to be loyal towards MS.

Are they towards us who stayed since WP7?
Microsoft releases its new Snap to Pin app for Android - Microsoft News
Skype for Android and iOS gets a new design with the latest update - Microsoft News

Why do they work for iOS and Android first when there is a Skype mess with Windows right now?
Wy do they allocate menpower for other platforms first?

What should I make of such headlines?

Isn't buyig an Android even more safe to use MS ecosystem in the future?

Maybe we should speak up louder:

I would, but that is primarily because I am already invested in MS stuff and I can't stand Apple stuff. "I" have an iPad 2, Lumia 800, 920, 1020, 535, another 1020 and 830. A Toshiba Windows PC, a Lenovo tablet PC and a mid-2011 iMac that looks and runs great. The iMac is a pain to use for me, but it works for my wife.
The Lumias are great phones, especially the 1020, but I have to admit the app gap is annoying. My first smartphone was the HTC Magic (Android) and when it came out every app advertised was for Apple. It was frustrating! Now, here I am again. It is difficult to always have to do without apps that would be nifty. The cameras, a huge deal for me, make up for it.

I like the OS and after my Android phones (what a mess they are after a while!) debacle and the ridiculous cost of iPhones...I see myself getting a 950XL or whatever when they become available in my country, i.e. mid 2016.

About 7 months ago I bought a Moto G because I wanted to give Android another chance after ~5 years of Windows Phone. On the first few days, it was all fun and pretty snappy (with only a few "This app has stopped..etc"). About 2 weeks of so of use, it started lagging gradually, until it began lagging like crazy that it would drive me insane. The lag and freezes got to a point where it made me get really mad that I wanted to smash the damn phone. After a month of use, I just couldn't bear the constant lag and freezing so I sold the Moto G.

About a month after I sold the Moto G, I found a new LG G2 for a good price so I thought why not give Android a third chance especially when the phone I was getting was relatively a high-end phone (Snapdragon 800, 2Gb RAM..etc). So I bought it and I was quite happy with the performance out of the box. I've been using it since and while the performance is definitely much better than the Moto G, it still unfortunately lags, crashes and freezes frequently. There are times when it gets on my nerves when the phone lags heavily and refuses to responses due to what seems to be a memory leak issue with Lollipop.

So to answer your question, YES, ABSOLUTELY! I would get another Microsoft Mobile phone. Heck, my poor Samsung Ativ S Neo still performs better than the LG G2 despite the huge spec difference.

p.s. Maybe I was unlucky with both the Moto G and LG G2 and got defective units and that's why they performed horribly. However, if this is normal performance for Android phones then I don't understand how people could put up with them (especially when even a $70 WP8.1 Lumia 635 doesn't perform as bad)

"I have the Lumia 920 and 925 and really love Windows Phone 8.1, but no - I am joining you by saying I wouldn't buy another WP flagship. I honestly don't have interest in Windows 10 Mobile (I would probably give Windows 10 a chance on my laptop if it weren't 5 1/2 years old). I may get flak for saying this, but I'm planning on getting the iPhone 6S in September. However, I'm not completely leaving WP because I still adore the Nokia Lumia 925 and will be swapping the SIM (in a SIM adapter, of course) out on occasion to enjoy using it. I may get rid of my 920 and 810, but the 925 stays with me. The only negative about that phone is the storage. If it were 32GB, it would be perfect - but I'm definitely not upgrading it to Windows 10."
I have Windows 10 on my 10 years old HP laptop and it works perfectly. What is a problem to install Windows 10 on 5,5 years old laptop? My sister has this iCrap, iPhone 5s and within 8 months this iCrap was twice in repair. She sad never again buy this ****.

same here , bought iphone 6 due to lack of flag ship on wp (to bridge the waiting time). I am on "that thing" for 6 month now but its still pain using it. IOS just plainly sux , the hardware is awful to use and ms apps (the reason why i went for iphone) are just simply bad on ios. I am in the ms eco system ( and happy with it) and can wait for wp10 flag ship to jump back .
