I found an old pic on my Onedrive of the weather like I was talking about on my 1520's Glance screen.

^^^I wish the Windows 10 previews had that function!

I really hope they bring it back in the final OS.

Enjoying still using Glance on my 830 with Windows 10 Preview build 10166.

If you're one that lost Glance settings, sorry for your loss.

I was able to retain the settings from a 8.1 upgrade and NOT doing a hard reset. Just let it sit overnight and do it's thing when I updated.

I'm hoping the new builds will allow this to work because I would be pretty mad if it didn't. Haven't gone to the latest build because of the loss of mobile hotspot. The new phones better have it and out of beta too.

Lol, hopefully you don't feel the same for folks who cannot live without a phone without wireless charging...blame the Lumia 920 for it

I think he meant the additional functionality to show weather information. The new Windows 10 weather app does not support that function.

If there's not, that might be a great app idea to suggest to the developers who hang out in this community!

TRUE. The battery level for me is more important than show the day of the week or the weather.

You can do it using 'insider' app..

I think for weather to work on Glance, you have to pin the weather app on start screen and use weather app as your lockscreen too.. I don't Know exactly but I have kept it like that and it works on 1020.. On W10M TP I managed to get weather info on glance but it will only show your location and temperature.. You have to use sysapp pusher app and then find the glance app and it's settings from it...

Welcome! And one thing you gotta keep in mind that it would be sometimes off because the limitations of WP.. The app will present the refreshed data only once every 30 minutes I guess..

It's possible to change the time of refresh?

I don't know exactly, I have been using this app since last two years but never got into much details.. I don't find it off most of the times though.. But in general I know that the third party app which requires real time data could be a little off like clock, weather and battery apps..

    I'm with you rhapdog,
I probably scoffed at the thought of glance, but I absolutely love it! Easily the most-used feature of my phone simply because of how often I don't have to bother doing more than, well, glancing at the phone to see if I've missed anything, see what time it is, see what the weather is... It's a great feature!

I use an app called Battery Sense by Vasan Jiaramaneetwesin - it has pretty good alerts too (battery close to empty, charge finished, etc). Strange that the NATIVE Battery Saver can show a nice percentage tile but not be shown on Lock Screen... I use battery saver for my Start Screen tile since it updates basically real-time but use the Battery Sense for the lock screen since the Saver isn't available.

No apology needed IMHO. My question for you is, how do you like the 640? Daily driving it? Running WinXM? Whats up?

    I think it was tongue-in-cheek.

I, on the other hand, firmly believe that Nokia owes me an apology for excluding Glance functionality on both the Lumia Icon/930 and the Lumia 735.

I would LOVE to have wireless charging. I'm seriously thinking about getting one of those Qi strips for inside the battery cover that covers the microUSB port and a Qi Charging pad. I'd love that. Slap me a NFC tag on the Qi charging pad to put it in Night Stand mode, and I'll be happy.

Loving the 640. Yes, using it as my daily driver. running 8.1 GDR2. I'm considering hitting Win10M (sorry, can't do the X. Too much like OS/X - <shudder>) after the next build releases, since Gabe stated the mobile hotspot would be back. That's what's been holding me up, really, since my phone is the only Internet access we have at the house.

    I think it was tongue-in-cheek.
Aw, man! I sure hope people got that!

Yeah, you're right about that one. No excuse, especially on a 930 that is supposed to be a flagship.

When I had an AMOLED Lumia, glance was awesome. On the 830's LCD, I find it too battery heavy. Still using double tap to wake though.

Depends on the phone you have. Some have the option to add weather, others have the option to just show the time and notifications.
