Will Microsoft abandon low-cost Lumias?

Its been proven time and again that the cheapest Lumia devices are the ones that sell the most. India, Australia and Europe are all huge markets for low cost Lumia devices, and each quarter they sell more handsets than ever before.

Much of the growth in the Asia pacific region in 2015 can largely be attributed to the 530, 532 and 535.

With Windows 10 around the corner, it's crucial now more than ever for Microsoft to release new low cost devices. Microsoft needs to release a Lumia 450.

The 550 is a quite capable device. I think they are going to leave it to the likes of Acer etc to release a device comparable to the 450.

They literally just announced the 550. I think we're swimming in low ends, which are still capable for now.
