L920 - This thing is still running after it for 2?years. I went through all the evolution of W8/8.1 and test device on W10 until I sold it to a colleague, as her daily driver for past year.
L830 - This is nice side grade to the 920. Not as robust as the other Lumia. The aluminium casing is bend and the screen "floats" about 1mm above the body. I had it in a jelly backcase from day one, and never notice the deformation until I changed a new protective case!! No, I don't wear skinny jeans. My current daily driver (with a non-function main camera.!!!)
L720 - Took it as a spare when I got my wife a 1520. Excellent phone, probably the most ergonomic well-designed of all the phones, it fits perfectly in my palm
L1520 - another beast I got it as a used unit . A bit larger than I want. But a very solid phone, excellent camera. Unfortunately, the lower portion screen display is spoilt...

Oh well, have not decide what to do.. Getting by with that handicapped 830, and contemplating between a dual sim LTE 640 or a 950.... Had a brief thought about using a spare iPhone4 or venturing into the landfills of Android, but I came to my senses... still sticking with WP...

Started out with an HTC windows mobile device a million years ago.
then...
Samsung Focus
Lumia 800
Lumia 900
Lumia 920
Lumia 1520 x2 (favorite of all, but the phantom touches killed the first and is sometimes an issue on #2)
950XL (sold this week)
.
.
.
Galaxy S7 Edge on the way. I bought my first house, and I want home automation functionality. I like the idea of Samsung Pay. And the phone is insanely beautiful.

I'm keeping the 1520, and I plan on using it on occasion. It will be my Groove driver for the most part though. I still love the interface, but as a Cubs fan, I can have only one "wait 'til next year" thing in my life.
The second MS gets it together, I'm back though.

Update:

I started with a 521, then got a 925 (both long gone).

1520 was next and is still my main phone all time fave.

520 x 2 to tinker with and use as SIM-less toys and nav units (gone).

A 635 in there somewhere to dabble with Insider, but really I was too busy (gone).

BLU Win HD (1st gen) for a dedicated backup (gone).

Got a Lumia 2520 for my main tablet. Still a beautiful thing to have and hold.

Then I tried a 928, because xenon. Quickly found a deal on 830 so I made them battle for a backup spot. The 830 won and I ditched the 928.

Then I ditched the 830 due to ATT lag on updates

Now I have BLU Win HD LTE for a backup.

Ditched the HD LTE for a $30 Lumia 640.

Tried a Coship Moly W5 and liked it. It's my current backup. Gifted the 640 to my mother-in-law.

Added a Lumia 650 for only $50 as a Cricket subscriber and I'm driving it daily. Retired my 1520, reset it to 8.1 + Denim and it is set up to be a travel companion and camera.

Added a Lumia 1020 with camera grip which is a dedicated camera.

Current Score:
  • Microsoft Lumia 650 - daily driver - W10M
  • Coship Moly W5 - backup - W10M
  • Nokia Lumia 2520 - productivity tablet - Windows RT 8.1
  • Nokia Lumia 1520 - travel aid and camera - Windows Phone 8.1 + Lumia Denim
  • Nokia Lumia 1020 - dedicated camera - Windows Phone 8.1 + Lumia Denim

I still love Windows phones, even if I don't always like them.

Timeline:
Samsung Omnia (Windows Mobile 6.1)
HTC Ozone (Windows Mobile 6.5)
HTC Trophy (Windows Phone 7)
HTC 8X (I adored that phone. Windows Phone 8)
Lumia 950 and 950 XL (These, I had a rocky relationship with. I returned both within a few weeks. Windows 10 Mobile)
Alcatel Idol 4s (A very solid phone, I purchased a few days ago. Gave it to my brother. Windows 10 Mobile)
HP Elite X3 (I bought this one immediately after the Idol 4s. I prefer it, but the price is still a contention point for me. Current daily driver. Windows 10 Mobile.)

I would advise against getting a 2 year contract with a windows phone at this point because Windows Mobile is heading down the Blackberry path.
