Why is the Email + Messaging storage full

My phone memory is full and i am unable to increase the internal memory. All the apps are installed on to my SD card and still there is no space to my internal memory.

How do i increase the internal memory?

What does Storage sense say is taking up the space? Phone - 7.26 GB ( 25.80 MB free ) out of which email + messaging says 3.22 GB. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my Gmail too.

Which leaves ~~ 4GB for System ...
Under Storage Sense >> Phone >> Temporary files
- click DELETE
>> Internet Explorer settings
- delete history
>> Advanced Settings >> manage storage
- delete files found there

go to SETTINGS >> APPLICATIONS >> SEARCH
- delete history

go to SETTINGS >> APPLICATIONS >> CORTANA >> search settings
- delete history

CLEAN up email & messaging by deleting OLD messages (limiting how much is retrieved)
do the same for email ... that's about double the space mine consumes.

After that perform a soft reset to see how much has been cleaned

Can't think of anything else ... Good Luck
Let us know how much space you recover

I've had a lot of storage randomly build up on a Lumia before, with no fix. It was fixed after a hard reset. Not sure if that's something you'd be willing to do, though.

Can we remove Microsoft account from our nokia lumia 630 and reinstall with the same email id again. Will there be any change in the data stored in my cloud for this mail id..

Use update advisor app from Microsoft. It will clear all the dump files

Yeah, that's a Factory Reset. Try it, but don't restore backup...

You can shortcut your App installs through store > ... > my apps
