"drop down" on windows button. Would it not be nice to add stuff there?

I am very bad at Math, so when i want to use the calculator on windows phone is't home button, app list and start the calculator. But when i am there did i forget the numbers i wanted to add. So back to the excel or explorer window and then back again to the calc.

Is this not possible? Should be a nice feature to add to the windows phone

It's possible.

You can just hold the back arrow, and then tap the home button (the windows button). Holding the back arrow allows you to see everything you have open and go back and forth between apps as many times as you like.
