640XL or 950XL

I currently have a 640. I'll be giving that one to my wife. I will be getting either the 640XL or the 950XL. My question is for those who have experience with both: Is the 950XL worth the extra $300, mainly performance wise. I am not a power user. Use mainly to talk, text, play a few games, check email and social sites along with reading multiple news sites. Thanks

Do you like to take pictures? I think either one would be great, but I don't think you can go wrong with the 640XL.

640XL is an awesome phone. If you'll never have need for Continuum and you don't need the extra power of the 950 series, then it's a solid device for you.

The 950XL is a much better camera, but the 640XL is no slouch in that department.

You may find that working with email, reading the news, and social sites may actually be more pleasant on a larger screen, which may have you deciding to use continuum to get that desktop style experience with it. It can certainly be much easier when posting on social media or going through and responding to a lot of email. Just a thought.

Just wondering which other apps will require payment when using continuum? MS has set a precedent with the need for office 365 subscription. 640 xl

I bought 640 Xl Dual sim at 23 June and my brother 950 Xl before 1 weak.If u can spend more money (300 $) i suggest u to buy it.Same screen size(5,7")Better camera(20vs13),
battery life(3340mAHvs3000mAH),screen resolution( 1440 x 2560 vs 720 x 1280) and usb typce-C
Continiuum is amazing but i think lumia 950 Xl as a Phone worth every $$$ u will spend to buy it .

(i will not say anything about ram and core becouse we use windows phone )

This is true. Same screen size, but because of smaller bezels, it comes in as easier to hold and use. Definite advantage for the 950XL there.

the 950 xl doesnt seem worth it from alot of reviews ive read nearly 700 bucks when u can grab the 640 xl for the 100-200 range now and wait for better phones later on sounds more ideal. they have a phone rumored with a 820 snapdragon on it. why get the 950 xl when u can wait for something with 2016 specs

. I picked up my 640xl used locally, quite cheap.
and will save for a 950xl next year.
maybe check craigslist etc?
