Created family settings but cannot update apps in child's phone?

created family settings. but cannot update apps in child's phone

created family settings in my microsoft account and added my child. created app settings. but whenever i tried to update apps in my child's windows phone8.1, a message" go to family settings and .......'. what is the solution

Where did you set the settings?

If you set it in the o/s or website it does take some time to be pushed through, the former a little longer.
