Being a Lumia 1520 user, should I buy Lumia 950?

Should I buy a Lumia 950 or is there any better W10 mobile at the moment?

Well there's the 950XL and the Acer Liquid Jade Primo is also due out and is a good spec.
There's also the HP Elite X3 expected out in June.
Just my two cents worth.

Going from a 1520 to a 950 would be a very noticeable change, especially if you love the larger screen of the 1520. I'd suggest you look at the 950XL and the new HP phone that might be coming out later this summer. In my opinion, the 1520 is still a really good phone, and will be for a couple more years.

I went from the 1520 to the 950 and found it a very easy adjustment. While I loved my 1520 (and still play around with it from time to time) I found the biggest drawback was size. It was just too much phone. I ended up dropping it frequently and had to replace the screen. I consciously went for the smaller 950 so I could have a one handed phone again. No regrets so far.....other than Windows 10. W8.1 is a far more polished OS. Hopefully things will continue to improve with constant updates

In my opinion pick the reasons why you want to upgrade. If you're content with the camera, battery, speed of the 1520 and don't need continuum then I would suggest sticking with the 1520. Don't get me wrong, the 950/XL series are great devices it's just that right now the selling price is being trumped by the features you're getting from your 1520. If you had been upgrading from a different device then I would have suggested to upgrade.

How noticeable is the battery difference? That 1520 battery is awesome.

I went from the 1520 to the 950XL thinking it would be a similar experience since they are so close dimensional-wise. The button placement was a severe deal breaker for me. The power button sandwiched between the volume buttons is an ergonomic cluster. I sold it and got a 950 with a Mozo cover and wondered why Microsoft never released it this way in the first place. Bottom line: the 1520 is going on feeBay this week. The 950 is that good. I take back all the garbage I spewed about its looks now that it looks like a larger 650.
