I just read that. @Drael646464 posted something like what may be describing above explaining Andromeda.

There were numerous tweets about what was found embedded in the newest feature releases of the W10M OS. And seems it is slowly being confirmed.

Well the fact I'm able to find a way to get my 920 and 625 to creators is already well past the 7.8 "scandal"

And if this "new" Windows Mobile is truly going to create a cut-off of sorts, Creator Update is as far as you or I will get.

I think Windows 10 Mobile as we know it will eventually die. WoA will replace it for Enterprise and OEM devices. This New device with a new niche (branch) of windows mobile might be their stab at us as consumers. Maybe my wishful thinking, but cmon! who does not like an underdog!?

That is the thing and a good thing...whether the OS (W10M) is alive or not, the Store apps will be there.

MS has said its working on productivity features with HP coming out late summer.

Doubt there will be a cut off, in the composable shell code people have seen hidden in windows, it lists both the new 'Andromeda' and 'windows 10 mobile' next to each other, and cshell is still a work in progress. I'm not even sure "Andromeda" will be sold as a "phone" despite its phone features. But no doubt as an entirely new form factor, it will be more complimentary than a complete replacement IMO.

    For Microsoft's sake, I hope you're right.

If Microsoft was not so secretive or at least told the consumers something less cryptic, then we would not have to :).

While that is true, most companies are that way. Apple or Google are the same with iOS and Android, they don't reveal details until the software is officially launched into beta or for developers.

True, but the way Microsoft teases stuff is way to cryptic. I would rather them not say anything at all then to put things the way they have. I guess the good part though is it keeps everyone on suspense so to speak. Keeps us guessing for sure...

I posted this in another thread.

Brad Sams (Sams' Report) just released another podcast, very short, while he is on vacation. He wanted to because he got more confirmation (he released an early podcast stating be believes MS is working on a ARM mobile device) that MS is working on a phone. He also stated that it will be released sooner than he first thought and that the software for it might even be released in July. Wow. He also said he doesn't believe it will be a slab style phone but didn't know what it might be. Keep in mind, Brad has been a "WP phone is dead" cheerleader for the last year or so. This is good news.

In the Microsoft world of frustrated users, July 2018 would be akin to tomorrow.

Let's try not to set ourselves up for a letdown. Software for it MIGHT be released in July, but the hardware will be months behind that at best.

He didn't give a year but I assumed he meant this July considering the podcast for last week he predicted 2018.

I really don't care about the software but if it is released that is just one more piece of evidence this is real. I encourage anyone that is interested to d/l his last two podcast.

Another Elite X3 might be VZW too. Actually I am pretty sure it is. I sent a tip to Mobile Nations WC, so maybe @Daniel Rubino or someone can officially confirm it. I also found a ref doc on the FCC that says the model number change referenced as a hardware change.

    2. The only change between B94HHF606 and B94HHF606V is open CDMA and LTE B13 for
    H/W change.

The software and hardware are useless without each other. Its a novel form factor - the software will be no good on any other hardware, and the hardware will be no good without its own OS.

Unless they are releasing some sort of developer kit, there would be no point in releasing the software without the phone.
