View start screen over desktop

After updating my PC to Windows 8.1, I found I really like the option to have your desktop and start screen wallpaper the same. That got me to think how cool it would be if you could have an option to have your start screen appear over your desktop and be able to see the icons and everything faintly. I think it would be a nice addition.

I don't know what I think about this. Sure it seems cool, but I think it would just be too much on the screen at the same time, so it should be hard to see anything.

yeah, I get what you mean. But if it was fairly faded out so you can see it if you loom sort of thing. I feel it would really help people who have issues with 8, and getting used to jo start menu and understanding the start screen better. I work at staples as a resident technician and man, people just don't get 8. Untill I spend 5 minutes with them
