I had a funny email this morning. I was contacted by my Microsoft account rep and TAM to discuss Surface devices. We've got several dozen SP3 and SP4 units. We've also started looking at Surface Hub units.

So, I asked when we meet if she could bring a Surface Phone. Here's her reply:

I think his answer is what is expected. If there is such a phone he can't say anything and probably its is status is above his pay grade.

Whats a "surface pro vnext"? Is that a mixed reality capable surface pro? Or is that a typo?

That's kind of interesting when we've heard "there's no such thing as a surface pro 5". I want to know more!

I've seen this quote taken out of context so many times... Take a look at this: https://www.thurrott.com/mobile/micr...pro-5-misquote

    Thanks.

Yeah that's interesting they called it "surface pro next" too, and that seems to read in the context what "there is no such thing as a surface pro 5" might actually mean. Perhaps they will re-title it because of form or feature tweaks. Not that it matters.

I love the idea of a surface phone though :(. Especially if it was exactly like a mini Surface with the Magnesium shell and compatible with Continuum. Might be nice for it to be thick and sturdy too
