Ive found that if your having issues with the latest Groove Music 3.6.2096 recognising all your music on your SDCard (I cant speak for OneDrive or Groove Purchases), but it should be the same, so :
If you copy your music to your SD, then re-start your device (I have a 950xl), connect to Wifi, then Open Grove.. and set the filters to A-Z / All / All genres.. then leave it.. it should download / Update all your music, but its the device re-tart that seems to be the fixer here..
