I'm hearing not until early-mid November, unfortunately. Nothing is yet set for a firm date AFAIK and no one is selling them yet.

When I bought my x3 on Sunday (Oct 9) at an MS store in New Jersey (USA) they had the lapdock on display. I didn't ask about buying it so I don't know if it was for sale yet but it exists out in the world!

It's $599. You can get a really good laptop with full windows for that price.
You're 100% correct. However, remember the x3 is targeted at businesses and depending on what industry you're in, it is very comforting to know that if Five-Finger Freddy takes a shine to your "laptop", no information walks away with it. It was the main premise behind the BlackBerry Bridge app when the PlayBook first came out. Personally, I've always liked the idea behind dumb terminals but previous iterations were doomed because of the lowly specs on smartphones then. I'm sure the Motorola Lapdocks for the Atrix and Droid Razr would be awesome on today's Androids.

I saw the price and laughed. I actually can't believe they set it that price point.

Any enterprise worth their salt has all mobile devices encrypted before they get deployed. We do this on all phones, laptops and computers.

I was hoping for a $199 price point. At $600, I can't justify the purchase for home or business.
