Had the Stream running a full repopulation of iTunes tonight and decided to open the task manager. Now said possessor speed is supposed to be 1.33 but I was seeing sustainable readings upto 1.70 Ghz from the CPU.

Just to note I kept an eye on this and there was no lagging of background activities as i then purposely put a video on to play as well off the internal Sd Card which played smooth and with no issues the whole time seeing the CPU throttle between 1.5-1.65, with ITunes doing its thing in the background.

Now does this mean there is potential for future speed boosts? Especially as at the moment the only power setting available is Balanced.

The Intel Atom Z3740 has a base speed of 1.33 Ghz, however it does have a 'burst speed' of 1.86 Ghz if required. Don't expect to see anything more than this without overclocking.

Take a look here for more info ARK | Intel Atom? Processor Z3740 (2M Cache, up to 1.86 GHz)

Thanks for that. Good to know it can up itself to handle slightly more intensive things.
