Hi,

I just got an 8S today after my HTC Desire died after 3 glorious years.

One thing that has really knocked me back is the apparent lack of voice navigation....

Is there an update for Maps or a free (small memory burning) app that acts as a GPS voice navigation

Also is it possible to get Google street view - or something very similar on this device?

I have seen in other threads that it is possible to download a nokia produced navigation programme - if i do this can i then delete the 'maps' app that came with the device?

My old phone literally died while i was in town and i bought this phone without any research or knowledge (based upon aesthetics and my Xbox habit mostly).

Have i bought a crappy phone? It seems a large portion of the internet is now telling me i have (esp since im using chrome haha)

Thanks, then im guessing street view will only work on Google friendly phones? I have Downloaded Nokia Drive and gladly it works here in England, but no street view from what i can decipher...

Street view is natively supported only on Android phones. Even the system browser won't display this as it requires Flash.

Does anyone know if Nokia are going to make drive available in other countries (i.e. Ireland).

Or does anyone know who I could contact to find out.
