Please Help. I've just got my HTC 8s and I've tried to use my aux cable to play music in my car but the sound is only
coming through the phones own speaker. I ve used the cable on everything from a mini ipod shuffle to my daughters new galaxy
and everything has worked. The cable was an expensive one but I did also have another bought off ebay for a couple of pounds
so I ve tried that as well, but still nothing. The jack looks exactly the same as the earphone jack that came with the phone, with 3 bands
and 3 sections then the top piece. (the earphones do work) . Should it work? Do I have to do anything on the phone to make it work?
Do I need to buy something else? Any help would be appreciated . Also my car doesn t have Bluetooth.
Many Thanks

The audio on a windows phone should switch from the speaker to the headphone jack when you plug in an audio port or headphones. Try restarting your phone. If that doesn't work, then the headphone jack may be damaged on your phone.
