Can't Open PDF in email - keeps saying i need to download a print app

i just want to view a pdf attachment and I cant do it. It keeps saying I need to download an app. it directs me to print apps which I dont want. I just want to view the pdf. I have also tried to view pictures and wont work. Any ideas? Do I need to download an app for this? Thanks
