I noticed that Microsoft lists this as one of windows phone 8's features:

"Download high-quality country and region maps that you can use offline, find walking or driving directions, and keep a list of your favorite places."

Features | Windows Phone Features (United States)

What's the difference between this Map and Nokia Drive? Will HTC 8X come with offline navigation?

Would be interested to find out too?

A good onbord navigation app is a must, and since an unlocked 920 isn't available in the UK, I'm faced with the choice of the 8X or an Android device.

No Nokia Drive turn by turn navigation, or equivalent.

    Dissapointing :(

Pretty sure Nokia Drive WILL come out of its exclusivity eventually, but not until Nokia have sold a decent amount of Lumia's. Hold tight I'm sure there will be a way to get the xap on there in the not too distant future.
