someone already disassembled their 8x, so that's not the problem.

still waiting for 8x repair parts to be up for sale. maybe mid january we'll start seeing them

I dropped mine and luckily no real damage however the unibidy unclipped itself around the USB port, recon it will come apart easy enough

Takes about 10 minutes to put the coil in any other 8x. If I could increase the onboard memory, I might consider the 8x

I did but it was for a friend and it has since been taken back. Only slightly harder than shell swapping on the 920 though.

Got the back off my old one that I spiderwebbed. The getting off was MUCH easier then getting on. This one corner would NOT snap back in!!

So I take it no one has tried/ had success? I might try, or give it to someone willing to try. Also, does anyone know if the 8x has the contacts inside the phone for the wireless charging coil (Like the wireless charging shells for the 925)?
