I want to start doing a full charge cycle with my htc 8x so it doesn't warm up as much.
    My question is:

When i run it down to 0% and start to charge it how long do i do it for, cant find anywhere in the manual for a recommended time.

    Thanks

P.S Any tips to make the battery not warm up as much?

FYI, letting your battery run down to 0 is never a good idea. It's bad for the battery, and will reduce its total capacity over time.

If you have overheating issues then that's another problem, but fully draining your battery is never a good solution.

When you get the alert of low battery ... Plug it for charge... Once you hit 100% unplug it.. Don't leave for charge overnight or such long cycles.. Optimum when battery < 15% charge...

So are you saying that I cant leave my 820 for charge overnight? Because I always like to have a 100% battery in the morning.

You don't have to wait for it to get low to start charging. Lion batteries don't have any memory effect. It's better to charge before it gets low.

Also, leaving it on the charger at 100% isn't really that bad for the battery, unless you leave it like that for a really long time. Overnight should be fine. Certainly not as bad as running it down low every time.

These batteries are lithium polymer ones and are pretty sensitive...as a thumb rule of safety avoid overcharging the battery.. Its basically how you treat the battery. I get an an
Easy 2days on my 920 . Under heavy usage. So I spoke out of experience, and everyone's free to charge their phone the way they want to... :)
    Cheers
