    I'm getting a SIM card error pretty frequently. Sometimes once a day, sometimes several. Thought it was because of being in pocket and something pushing on power button, but I bought a belt case (otterbox) and that didn't fix it.

    Went to Verizon the first time it happened and they said turn it off and back on. I had already done this, so they said they would switch phones. They tried to give me a black one, but I said heck no as I have a red one and no one there had even seen one.
    At a loss now, don't want to trade to a black one, but the error gets annoying.

    I had this problem a few days ago. Get another sim card and activate that. That did the trick for me.

    There's gotta be like 10 threads about this. Put two pieces of tape on the back of your sim card.

    That might fix the problem but should we be letting manufacturers and retailers off the hook with MacGyver fixes?
    Go back to where you got it from and raise **** till you getting a fit for purpose phone in the colour you originally purchased :-)
