Hello:) I'm an android use (2 years now) that's using a Galaxy S2 and I'm thinking of jumping ship to Windows Phone since I had the chance to play around with a HTC 8x (bloody gorgeous phone btw). Anyway camera is pretty important to me so my question is how does the camera (photo and video) compare to the S2?

I think its pitiful personally. But it didnt stop me from switching. My photos from my S2 were awesome, the ones i have taken so far with the 8x look mostly pretty bad.

Daylight pics with the 8x are very, very good. Low light are just marginal. Nothing like the 920.

NO! don't get an 8x, get a lumia 920, or wait for the EOS phone coming out in summer with the monster 41 megapixel camera. :)

My 8x also takes great daylight pictures. Low light is ok. Front facing cam is very good also. They are better than the S2 imo

Daylight pics are really great. I don't shoot in low light, but the ones I've taken are ok enough for most phones.

The only issue I have with the camera is that the auto focus can sometimes make you take a bad photo if you shake your hands even just a little bit. Other than that, the quality is very good.

They were awesome because of the Super-Amoled screen with satured colours, I used their camera and on the phone it looked stunning, but on the PC the picture was very blunt.

i recommend you to buy lumia 920/820 instead of 8x. nokia does a lots of things only for their phones. also their cameras are better.

920 is too bulky and expansive. 820 has a low res screen and just doesn't look good (to me) :)
I can get the 8x with 1 euro with a 2 year contract in my country (not so with the 920).
