New HTC 8X and update

Got my new 8X today. Should i download the update or just wait it out. Ive seen several threads about issues with the update, so i wasnt sure if this was resolved.

On my unlocked HTC 8x shipped from Hong Kong , there were two updates, the Portico(8.0.10211.204) and another nameless HTC update. GDR 2 did not appear. Go ahead and download. Before installing check the update information. You can always postpone the update if its GDR2( 8.0.10327.77). The Portico update is really essential as I found it improved the idle battery life substantially.

Personally, I'd update your phone if there's an update waiting. Since it's a new phone, you can get it replaced if it decides to brick.
