Can I upgrade to gdr3

I have installed preview for developers app and before upgrading to gdr3 I wanted to ask a few things

1) Has anyone of you installed gdr3 on your 8x , did you face any problems ?

2) Once HTC releases an official update can I switch to the official one ? And how ?

3)Once I'm back on HTC gdr3 will my warranty be back ?
