Currently installing on my 8X (EE UK). I have GDR3 preview installed so maybe it is the firmware update to go along with it that the sprint 8XT received.

Current firmware is: 3030.0.34101.401

Current OS is: 8.0.10512.142

thx. your firmware is different from the picture, was it a typo? can you also keep this thread updated if you notice any changes? im interested in changing default apps and the burst shot app. i know htc doesnt have a cam app yet, but nokia p|c can be installed and burst shot app hasnt been able to. it did specify 8xt, but it also included other gdr2 projects. hoping!

I got three HTC Updates and one Microsoft Update.

Now I have the new driving mode so I guess what I have installed is the GDR3...

Screen rotation setting is now available.

Applications can be closed from the app switcher (finally).

I had GDR3 preview installed since its release and got one update today: a HTC firmware update. Sounds like GDR 3 / Update 3 preview was in fact the final version (at least for unbranded devices), and what we get is a brand new firmware. Have to check what's new but I guess performance improvements...

I received it!

It's installing now. Unlocked/unbranded in the Netherlands (T-Mobile, but unlocked)

Those who have installed the GDR3 preview seem to be running a newer version than the "final" I have installed today (OS version: 8.0.10501.127). That's why you got just one firmware update.

What does this update do? Does the update matter in terms of new stuff? or it is a fix in some bugs?

I am having problems installing gdr3 on my HTC 8X keep saying the update has downloaded but cant be opened,(8007000d)!
(The update was downloaded, but couldn't be opened. (8007000d)
