I used to own an 8X (Verizon), until it cracked. I loved the damn thing. Owned a Lumia 928, it was OK, now I own an iPhone 4 and hate it. Out of nowhere, I saw this and my eyes lit up:

Well, since the deal ended at midnight, I bit the bullet and ordered it. I'm willing to risk a 15% restocking fee if I need to return it. So, tell me the bad news. Will this not work on Verizon, even though it says it's a Verizon model? The Verizon tech was edging towards yes, but still he was kind of unsure. Break it to me...

OK, I spoke to another guy that was supposedly the supervisor of the tech I was originally speaking to:

George: 4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 13
George: That is our network for 4g
George: Its unique to our phones that are 4g LTE actually.
George: I am pretty confident it should work on our system but ultimately I couldnt guarantee it since its not a device I am supplying. I hope that makes sense. If not I will try to explain a different way

I don't understand why it wouldn't work with VZW. It is a VZW-branded device. Unlocked just means it will work on a GSM network too.

Alright, it arrived today and I went straight to Verizon to get the SIM. When he tried activating it, it was saying that my ID wasn't supported. My heart sank and I feared the worst, but it turned out that he was just forgetting a 0! The phone is 100% brand new, it doesn't seem like a refurb by any means. It feels GREAT to be back.
