HTC repairs

I have recently dropped my phone so that the screen shattered but everything else still works. I have emailed HTC asking how much they will charge for a repair and they told me I should send my phone to them, then they shall look at it and send me a quote. But if I don't want to pay the price on that quote, then they will charge me ?25 to get the phone back. I asked them for an approximate price and they refused to give me one as I wanted to have an idea of the price before having to waste ?25 to get it back. Does anybody here have an idea of how much it will cost to have it repaired?

I would say it would be around a ?100 - ?150.

I'd estimate that the price would very close, if not more, than buying a used 8X. In the US, it cost around $150 to repair, which is very close to the price of a decent 8X. You might be better served by getting a new 8X or different WP, and selling yours for parts to recover a bit of quid that you spent.
