Deleting system files

Is there any way to get into my system files and delete things. Been trying to download a game to my phone and its gotten canceled/terminated while downloading and its been eating up my memory and being stored in the system files. My system files are up to 7gb so I know that's where it's at. If anyone can tell how to get to it if possible so i dont have to factory reset it would be great and really appreciated.

Its not possible to access system files. If your system files are 7gb then do a hard reset.

Reset to factory. Sounds like a corrupt file is causing the problem. Your system file should only be less then 3gb.

facing the same issue. Looks like an OS bug - it doesn't release the free space after failed download. I'm at 5.2 GB for system now after a failed update of sims freeplay game. Can't do a hard reset till I complete some of the games I've been playing for a long while and the MS support folks give the first suggestion as a hard reset!
