Has anyone seen this update arrive? Curious if Developer Preview users have to disable that to get the proper update.

I just checked for updates on my Verizon HTC 8x 8.0 and it is downloading an update as I type. Could it really be true?

Not on Developer Preview here(not installed). I had read for the Icon the DP needed to be 'on/enabled' if it was installed, otherwise the update mechanism would read the phone as being up to date. I guess having it 'on/enabled' triggered the update from Verizon. Having it 'off/disabled' indicated to the update mechanism that the 8.1 update was already installed, thus no triggering of the Verizon update. <shrug> Don't know if this is the same case with the HTC 8X.

I have a Verizon HTC 8X with DP. I did a soft reset on the phone, and I check for updates but I'm not getting one. Any advice?

Same issue as above. I'm on DP, and I've tried checking for updates with both the preview enabled and disabled, and no matter what it shows as updated.

On DP here too with DP enabled and no update yet. Might be a rolling type of update and it could take awhile before all phones get the update.

I believe the only advantage to getting the Verizon update for those folks that are on DP is the clock fix for the HTC hub app.

Basically this page lists the steps in the update process for GDR2 for Verizon. For new features go to the Verizon link at the bottom link....and click thru to the 'Benefits of Software Upgrade' PDF.
Also note the firmware needs to be at v. 3030.0.52009.605 before it will update to 8.1
So in my case I was at 3030.0.42201.605 before and went thru the update to the 52009....(including migrating data). This 52009 firmware update auto/offered and installed to me....then it allowed the update to 8.1 which still ongoing, migrating data again...

Out of curiosity, did anyone notice a change in the notification center from PD to HTC/Verizon update? I thought we had 5 buttons at the top instead of 4. Or am I confused with Widows 10?

It's always been 4 unfortunately. I wish it were 5, but only large screens get that many.

Still waiting here. Tried checking with the check box for dev preview checked and unchecked. My phone has been a buggy mess for months, hope the firmware fixes things so it'll last until there's a new flagship. Do NOT want to sign a new contract right now

Unfortunately we don't have the ROMs for you to download. You would need to check with Microsoft to see if they have it and where to get that from.
