Problems with camera on Htc 8X Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview

I installed the developer preview 8.1, and I can?t get the camera to work om my htc 8x

I have tried with multiple apps, including the standard camera app

I?ve seen on other forums that changing the language to English US should help, but it didn?t in my case. I?ve also done a soft reset+hard rest , and that didn?t help the problem.

Whenever I try to open a camera app I just get a black screen (sometimes it says loading?), and then it pops back to the previous screen.

Any suggestions? :unhappy: :unhappysweat: :angry:

It's an HTC Device, that won't work.

You likely have a hardware issue with your camera. You will have to, probably, physically take the phone apart and replace the camera.

Please don't provide false, unverified information. The Nokia Software Recovery Tool is only meant for Nokia devices. It will not work properly with HTC devices.

Nahdist, are you doing the hard reset properly? Go to Settings > About > Reset your phone. If that doesn't work, I suggest you contact your HTC support. Taking your phone apart may void your warranty.
